Creation Sabbath Coming to the Umpqua District

Sabbath, May 11 will be a special focus on Creation featuring Dr. Stan Hudson (see the North Pacific Union Conference webpage HERE).  Everyone from the Canyonville, Myrtle Creek and Winston Churches is invited to attend the presentations at the centrally located Myrtle Creek Church.  The schedule is as follows:

- 11am - A Call to Worship the Creator.  Come find out the mission of the Church in these last days and the call they are to give to the world!

- Lunch - Please bring something to share since we will have members from the whole district coming.

- 2pm - Origin of the Oceans.  Hear the worldwide flood stories and discuss the problems with current world views. Was Noah’s ark a mythic tale? Has the ark been found?  And does the fossil record show evolution or the flood of Genesis?

- 3pm - Origin of the Dinosaurs.  We’ll spotlight the history of dinosaurs, their discovery, and their cause for extinction. Then we’ll look at ancient stores of dragons and an interesting report from a recent bone dig. Find out about soft tissue in dinosaur bones and how that affects the age of the earth question.

Plan now to attend and invite those you know who would be interested in coming!!
