Sabbath morning, May 11 saw many from our district arriving for the much-anticipated District Creation Sabbath at the Myrtle Creek Church with Dr. Stan Hudson from the North Pacific Union Conference (learn more about his ministry HERE). Dr. and Cindy Hudson had already blessed the Canyonville Adventist Elementary School (CAES) with a week of prayer focusing on the Biblical flood and how the fossil record bolsters our belief in a Creator. Then, on Sabbath (May 11), over 140 members from our Umpqua Valley District came together for a worship service presentation by Dr. Stan Hudson, a wonderful fellowship meal and afternoon sessions that fostered trust in the Bible and the worship of our Creator - Jesus! We were so blessed with what Dr. Stan and Cindy shared with us and it was a great opportunity to meet our fellow members from around the District. Our next District Sabbath will be Sabbath, August 31 at the Canyonville Church (click HERE to learn more), but this inaugural district Sabbath will long be remembered!!
