Pastor Nate Hellman serves as Associate Ministerial Director for the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He has served in various settings of local church ministry, and now ministers as a coach, mentor and equipper of both pastors as well as their congregations.
We are looking forward to having Pastor Nate Hellman come and share during our next District Sabbath coming up August 31, 2024. Canyonville will be the host Church. Pastor Nate Hellman will be sharing on the importance of establishing transformational small groups. What is meant by the word "transformational"? Basically, having small groups that help members experience worship, application of God's Word, friendships, and formulating outreach through the group to the community. This is also known as Holistic Small Groups.
Here is the tentative schedule of what Pastor Nate will share
11am Service - Biblical Foundations and Vision for Transformational Small Groups
Lunch will be potluck in nature and since the whole district is invited, please bring extra food!
Afternoon: Transformational Small Groups Practicum - 2 hours of session time that will include an educational segment on the dynamics (basic tips) and structure (format of what a typical small group could look like) of small groups followed by a hands on "simulation" so that participants can experience what a group might be like.
Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend!
This training will be at the Canyonville Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 714 NW I-5 Frontage Rd, Canyonville, OR 97417, United States.
